The Alice Wilds is honored to be a part of Queering the Cream City, a public art exhibition in Milwaukee, Wisconsin organized by Vaughan Larsen and SaveArtSpace.org with an opening on Friday, July 23 from 5-8PM.

This exhibition is an extension of That Way, an Instagram account and printed zine created and curated by Vaughan Larsen, featuring weekly takeovers of LGBTQ+ artists. This exhibition takes place simultaneously on outdoor billboards and on the walls of The Alice Wilds. The show replaces ads on billboards with art, adding work by twelve contemporary LGBTQ+ artists to the streets of Milwaukee, and features fourteen additional artists in the gallery; both will be on view from July 23 – August 23, 2021.

This is Wisconsin’s first ever billboard art exhibition featuring work exclusively made by LGBTQ+ artists!
