Firmament, Jenna Youngwood

Firmament, Jenna Youngwood
June 14 – July 27, 2019

The Alice Wilds is pleased to present Firmament, a solo exhibition of recent paintings by Jenna Youngwood.

This exhibition of new work by Jenna Youngwood explores the intimacy and solitude of observational pen and marker drawings mimicked on canvas through acrylics and mediums. Firmament examines the connective line between drawing and painting on both a physical and metaphysical plane. This close relationship is a nod to the concept of the horizon through an abstracted lens.

Jenna Youngwood received her BFA in Painting and Drawing from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee in 2016. While at UWM, she was awarded the Lawrence Rathsack Scholarship. She has shown her work locally in a solo exhibition at Chamber, a two-person exhibition with Sean Heiser at Usable Space and in group exhibitions in Milwaukee, La Crosse, and New York. She currently resides in Milwaukee, WI.

Opening June 14th, 2019 and continuing through Saturday, July 27th, 2019 at The Alice Wilds.
